The Mainland Minerals Environment Award!
We are excited to announce we are the new sponsor for the Gore District Community Awards Mainland Minerals Environmental Award!
Getting behind the community with this award works in well with our business, as on a daily basis we are helping our farming clients to farm more sustainably with fertiliser options that are better for the environment than some traditional fertilisers.

The Award is to celebrate and recognise positive contributions to improving or protecting our environment and is open to any bona fide business, individual, school, club, society, organisation or association that:
  • Promotes
  • Encourages others to participate in
  • Encourages others to enjoy
  • Champions (supports or defends)
  • Gives or provides others the opportunity to gain experience of
  • Gives back or changes, or
  • Undertakes restorative activities resulting in positive environmental impact
We want to hear how your environmentally-responsible, sustainable project or practises are helping to make the environment better in our local district, which may include but not limited to:
  • Soils/Fertiliser
  • Recycling/Upcycling 
  • Pest control/Conservation
  • Oceans/Waterways
  • Planting
  • Organic
  • Land use/Farming
  • Restorative
You can nominate yourself, your organisation or someone you know.  The nominee has to reside within the Gore District, which covers Winton, Balfour, West Otago, South Otago & Fortrose. Click here for link to map

We would love to see a few farmers in the nominees!  Have you done some riparian planting? Or constructed a wetland? Or use biological practises/fertiliser?
