Nutrition & Fertility

Nutrition & Fertility

28th April 2014

Nutrition is important prior to and during Tupping – as the key to improved fertility is the availability of trace minerals like Selenium, Iodine, Cobalt and Copper for your ewes.

These and other vital nutrients can be incorporated in your fertiliser application, and can help with better in-lamb rates and getting heavier lambs off the farm, quicker!

You can also use Pasture Sprays and Mineral Licks which are effective ways to boost trace mineral levels in your ewes at this key time of the year.

Make sure you have plenty of quality feed ahead of your breeding ewes, so they can put on condition prior to tupping and lambing. Having more healthy lambs will give you more options!
